OREANDA-NEWS. November 12, 2009. The branch of Ingosstrakh IJSC in Tatarstan signed contracts for agricultural insurance with Poultry Farm Ak Bars and Bulgar Arysh.

To protect the property interests of the Poultry Farm Ak Bars, 410 units of 5-8 weeks fed poultry (broilers) were insured, as well as the broiler processing equipment. Total insured amount is RUB 36.5mln.

The poultry stock was insured against loss caused by infectious and non-contagious diseases, accidents, fire, stroke of lightning, natural disasters, illegal acts by third parties, theft, forced slaughter as requested by the veterinary service.

The equipment was insured against such risks as fire, stroke of lightning, gas explosion, natural disasters, damage by water, theft, robbery, illegal acts by third parties, fall of manned aircraft or its wreckage, collision with vehicles.

The contract with Bulgar Arysh provides insurance protection to 21.4 thousand tons of grain to the total amount of RUB 52.2mln. The policy covers such risks as fire, stroke of lightning, natural disasters, damage by water, illegal acts by third parties, theft, robbery, assault, illegal acts by third parties. 

Besides, the combine harvesters were insured to the amount of RUB 23.9mln against fire, stroke of lightning, natural disasters, illegal acts by third parties, theft, robbery and assault.

The insured property is pledged to the Tatarstan regional branch of the Russian Agricultural Bank under the loan.
