OREANDA-NEWS. November 12, 2009. According to a rating "The largest insurers of Ukraine" by the DELO newspaper, Oranta has headed TOP-50 of the insurance companies according to the volume of collected premiums in the first half of 2009. Also, the company traditionally took the first place in a rating "Leaders of the civil liability market".

Despite the economic crisis for the period of 6 month of 2009 Oranta has collected the largest volume of the insurance premiums on the market - approximately UAH 375 million. The volume of the insurance compensations amounted to UAH 170 million.

"The crises presented Oranta with an opportunity to strengthen its influence on the country's insurance market by widening the gap in premiums collected between the company and its closest competitors. We outperformed our closest competitor by almost UAH 90 million based on the volume of insurance premiums collected in the first half-year of 2009, whereas we outperformed our competition by only UAH 23 million in the first quarter", said Oranta's Chair of the Board, Ms. Olena Bolotova.
