OREANDA-NEWS. November 12, 2009. The competition HR Brand of OJSC N.W.Telecom held among the human resources departments of OJSC N.W. Telecom's branches was over. The main goal of the competition was to determine the best HR practices for implementing the personnel management concept. The final part of the competition was held in the video intercom mode: thus the regional directors, participants of the work groups for projects implementation and employees of the human resources departments had a chance both to see how representatives of other branches presented the projects to members of the expert council and to take part in the defence and discussion of the projects.

All in all, 16 projects were presented for the competition. To make the umpiring of the competition as impartial a possible, both top managers of the Company – General Manager V. A. Akulich , Deputy General Manager – Sales Manager O. V. Popov , Deputy General Manager in Charge of Corporate Relations E. I. Tomilina, Acting Deputy General Manager – Economics and Finance Manager A.Ya. Lang, Chairperson of the Territorial Trade Union Organization T. A. Shuyskaya, and external experts – General Manager of LLC Professional.ru N. V. Bocharova, Regional Business Development Director of LLC Headhunder Yu. I. Sakharova and independent management counselor Ye. N. Morozova were invited to participate in the expert council.  

After secret voting, the winner projects were determined:

In the nomination "Project Facilitating OJSC N.W. Telecom's Manageability" it was the project "HR Interaction – from Ideas to Work Process" implemented by the Karelian branch.
In the nomination "Project for Building an Image of the Preferable Employer in the Society" it was the "Young Successors" project implemented by the Kaliningrad branch.  
In the nomination "Project Facilitating the Efficiency of the Company" it was the project "Individual System for Motivating Installation Engineers" implemented by the Petersburg branch.
In the nomination "Project Facilitating the Building of the Client-oriented OJSC N.W. Telecom" it was the project "Service+" implemented by the Murmansk branch.
Besides,   the expert council took a decision to establish an additional nomination reflecting the topical areas of OJSC N.W. Telecom's development, in which the project "Development and Implementation of a Motivation System for the Personnel of the Call Centre" implemented by the Komi branch became the winner.

These HR practices will be recommended for use by the Company as a whole. Besides, a catalogue with a brief description of the projects of all nominees of the competition will be published soon and methodological recommendations with a complete description of the tools will be published for internal use.  

The HR Brand of OJSC N.W.Telecom competition was organized and held by the Human Resources Management Department of OJSC N.W.Telecom . External experts have appreciated the finals of the competition as unique and innovative. And though 5 projects were named the best HR practices , 9 of the presented projects were recognized by the Company's top management as successful , topical and having all methodological qualities to implement them in OJSC N.W. Telecom.
