Kazakhstan and Germany Discussed Economic Cooperation
OREANDA-NEWS. November 12, 2009. The sides discussed the current state and prospects of the trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Germany, reported the Official website government.kz.
At the Government’s House in Astana Kazakhstan Prime Minister Karim Massimov met a German delegation headed by Dr Klaus Mangold, Chairman of the Eastern Committee of German Industry.
The sides discussed the current state and prospects of the trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Germany.
They also exchanged their opinions on the forthcoming customs union of Kazakhstan, Belarus and Russia, as well on Kazakhstan’s accession into the WTO and Kazakhstan’s OSCE chairmanship in 2010.
K. Massimov passed on his greetings on the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall and of reunification of Germany.
The Kazakh Prime Minister stressed that Kazakhstan sticks to principles of open and responsible cooperation and speaks for further strengthening and expanding of relations between the two nations.
He briefed the German delegation on the Program of Accelerated Industrial Development to be launched soon in Kazakhstan.
When closing the meeting, the sides reiterated their confidence in further successful cooperation between Kazakhstan and Germany.
