Cotton Growers in Karakum Etrap Fulfill Contractual Obligations
OREANDA-NEWS. November 11, 2009. Cotton growers in Karakum Etrap, Mary Velayat reported on the fulfillment of the contractual obligations on raw cotton production. They delivered over 40,000 tons of ‘white gold’ to the receiving points of the country.
Over 19,500 hectares were sown with this valuable crop. The widespread variety in the region is Yoloten-7 middle staple cotton variety. Five of eight farmers associations in the region including Tyaze oba, Sahra, Bayramali, Ashgabat, Tarp Yer have met the contractual obligations. The others will report on the labour victories soon.
This labour victory is the cotton growers’ response to the unceasing concern of the Turkmen leader. They undertake the obligations to pick this year’s harvest without loss.
