OREANDA-NEWS. November 09, 2009. JSC Tatneft has accumulated experience, worthy to be replicated and studied. This statement was made by Sergey Bogdanchikov, President of NK Rosneft during this visit to TANECO Oil Refining and Petrochemical Complex, which took place on 22 October 2009. Among the delegates arrived at Nizhnekamsk were lead managers of the Company and heads of the structural departments.

Today ROSNEFT is one of the largest enterprises of the fuel-and-energy field of Russia and worldwide. The Company manages a few score of projects in the European part of the country, in Siberia, at the Far East, abroad. It is not the first time that Rosneft representatives come to Nizhnekamsk. This February its top-managers visited the “Site of the Century”. Such careful attention to TANECO Complex, in particular, and to JSC Tatneft, upon the whole, is understood hereby that RosNeft is diligently engaged in the refining of the lifted crudes. Its structure includes seven big and three mini – refineries. The strategy of Tatarstan oil engineers for expansion of refinery capacity attracts the sound occupational interest of the Russian colleagues. It is essential that TANECO is the first large-scale project in Russia in the sphere of Refining and Petrochemical plants for the latest twenty years, developed “greenfield”. In S.Bogdanchikov opinion, the experience accumulated in Nizhnekamsk will, with no doubt, be used during implementation of such projects of RosNeft as Primorsky and Tuapsynsky Refineries.

During the visit, the delegates made a tour around the construction site in the company of Sharafat Takhautdinov, JSC Tatneft General Director and Khamza Bagmanov, OJSC TANECO General Director, and observed the main facilities of the first start-up complex. The visitors highlighted terrific progress achieved at the Project from February of the current year.

The meeting was continued in OJSC TANECO Office. At the meeting dedicated to the experience exchange, such issues were discussed as involving of investments, application of new technologies and equipment, engineering of challenging petrochemical facilities, efficient arrangement of the project management.

Tatneft and TANECO representatives replied to all the questions clearly and straightforwardly, having exchanged their opinion with the Russian colleagues. In the call-off of the visitors, the meeting turned out to be very helpful and beneficial.

Further on the delegates departed for JSC NizhnekamskShina to visit the factory producing single piece metal cord tires.
