OREANDA-NEWS. November 09, 2009. This was announced by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Valeriu Cosarciuc, noting the expediency to open collection and processing centers in the Republic.

The main objective of mini-factories is to diversify the domestic market. The minister said that about 25% of the funds on creating mini-factories will be covered from the subsidies’ fund. In addition, another 20% will be provided by Chisinau offices of the International Agricultural Development Fund and the World Bank, which has opened the credit line to support projects in the rural areas. The remaining 55% should be invested by the farmer.

The farmers will also receive all necessary consultation support. Valeriu Cosarciuc also noted that the Government intends to regulate dairy products import. Thus, the state structure for analysis of the domestic market needs and demand for the imported goods will be soon established at the Ministry of Agriculture. As a result, import of some important goods, which can be produced in Moldova, will be subject to licensing.
