OREANDA-NEWS. November 09, 2009. In case of creation of the free economic zone, company Draxlmaier is ready to invest about 20 million euros in infrastructure, new buildings and equipment. As it was informed in the Ministry of Economy, this was announced by director general of the German company in Moldova Peter Hilbert during the meeting with the Vice-Premier, the Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar.

He noted that in the opinion of the company’s experts, the creation of free economic zone would be the best way to develop and expand business in Moldova. Peter Hilbert said that at this stage, already 5 companies from different industries have expressed interest to become a part of this zone. During the meeting, CEO of Draxlmaier Moldova also said that till the end of this year, the company intends to double the number of employees in Moldova and that currently the company employs 1,500 workers.

"Despite the global economic crisis, the company Draxlmaier increases investment in Moldova," Peter Hilbert noted. In his turn, Valerie Lazar proposed to establish a joint group of co-operation between the Ministry of Economy and the company Draxlmaier to determine the most effective methods of development of the enterprise and carry out joint research in order to identify all obstacles faced by the investor in Moldova.

On the basis of this study recommendations for legislative changes necessary to create the most attractive investment climate for foreign companies will be implemented. The German company Draxlmaier started its activity in Moldova in 2006. Company develops and produces modern electronic board systems and other equipment as well as offers auto innovations of different brands such as: Audi, BMW, Bugatti, Cadillac, Mercedes-Benz and others.
