OREANDA-NEWS. November 06, 2009. BakuTel 2009 will gather over 100 companies from 15 countries worldwide. The regular participants of the exhibition include mobile operators of Azerbaijan Azercell, Azerfon, Bakcell; and the telecommunication and IT companies Aztelecom, BTRIB, Delta Telecom, Iskratel, Microsoft, Ultra, Nokia Siemens Networks, Caspel, Bestcomp Group, R.I.S.K., Sinam, Smart Systems Technology and others. New exhibitors include: ZTE Corporation (China), Caspian Navtel (Azerbaijan), Idrak Technology Transfer (Azerbaijan), Headtechnology (Azerbaijan), IT Solutions (Azerbaijan), Azedunet (Azerbaijan), Connect (Azerbaijan), Azlanit (UK-Azerbaijan), Silverkey Azerbaijan (USA), Pirelli Broadband Solutions (Italy), Ozkabel (Uzbekistan) and others.

One of the main features this year will be the large number of presentations of new ICT products. New solutions and cutting-edge technologies will make up 40% of the exhibition, and will be first offered to the Azerbaijani ICT market.

In general, the exhibition will present: telecommunications and networks, broadband technologies, cable and wireless communications, satellite communications and technologies, broadcasting equipment and technologies, software and automation systems, IT and office technology, security systems, banking technologies and services, e-Business and e-government. Wi-Fi and other wireless internet access technology.

The organisations supporting the exhibition include: the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of the Azerbaijan Republic, ITU – International Telecommunication Union, GAID - Global Alliance for ICT and Development, UN – United Nations, RCC – Regional Commonwealth in the field of Communications, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan and National Confederation of The Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of Azerbaijan Republic (AEC).

BakuTel has gained international recognition from the UFI (The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry). The status of “UFI Approved Event” is confirmation that the event meets the highest international standards.

The event has to date participated by 800 companies from 26 countries worldwide over the past 15 years.

The exhibitions are running simultaneously, as information and communications technologies are widely applied to ensure the safety of the population and the exhibits are immensely important for specialists in both fields.

CIPS 2009 is a centre not only for demonstrating the latest achievements in the development of rescue, fire fighting and computer protection services, but also for sharing information, brainstorming ideas and seeking opportunities to join efforts to combat personal and business threats.
