OREANDA-NEWS. November 05, 2009. Launching of four vessels of “NIBULON” took place at OJSC “Wadan Yards Okean”.

 Support of President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko already became a good tradition for the company. Thus President of Ukraine was present at the opening of river terminal in Vitove village of Chygyryn district Cherkasy region on the 17-th of October. The first vice-chairman of Chairman of Secretariat of President of Ukraine representative of President of Ukraine in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Oleksandr Shlapak visited the solemn event of launching of four vessels under support of Head of the state Victor Yushchenko.

Deputy of Chairman of Secretariat of President of Ukraine Oleksandr Sadykov participated in the solemn launching of four nonself-propelled vessels together with the first vice-chairman of Chairman of Secretariat of President.

Festive meeting began with welcoming speech of General Director of OJSC “Wadan Yards Okean”, Hero of Ukraine Mykola Romanchuk, who thanked his partner “NIBULON” for profitable and effective cooperation. “This event has high profile for Mykolaiv habitants and for shipbuilding branch in general. The order of “NIBULON” for our plant became Ukrainian for 100 % because vessels projected by the Ukrainian design office were constructed of the Ukrainian steel at the Ukrainian plant and for the Ukrainian customer under supervision of Shipping Register of Ukraine, and they will run under the Ukrainian flag. A range of enterprises in different fields of economy of Ukraine participate in construction of nonself-proplled vessels. All these will help us to save working places and ensure additional budget revenues. Team-work of “NIBULON” and OJSC “Wadan Yards Okean” is a bright example of successful investing into native shipbuilding and fleet.”

The first vice-chairman of Chairman of Secretariat of President of Ukraine Oleksandr Shlapak conveyed greetings and best regards on behalf of Head of the state Victor Yushchenko. Oleksandr Shlapak pointed the fact that “NIBULON” comes out to the leading position among the Ukrainian agrarians. “The whole Ukraine is with you today. You demonstrate the way how to overcome crisis, how to fight for each working place, for salary, for comfort and love in our homes. The whole our Ukraine makes a profound bow to you for this. I am pleased that today we are witnesses of the Ukrainian shipbuilding revival.” Besides, Oleksandr Shlapak pointed on economic expediency of “NIBULON” investment project: “Our Dnipro unfortunately took a seventh part of its carrying capacity of freight. Today we commence a project that will bring back glory to our main water-way. It certainly must give an economic effect because delivery of our grains to the Ukrainian ports also will be cheaper.”

The head of Mykolayiv Regional State Administration Oleksyi Garkusha said about uniqueness of the holiday and pointed that “today there is no another example when a Ukrainian investor invests into development of the Ukrainian enterprise. And a real Ukrainian shipping company is being created before our eyes. “NIBULON” invests more than 150 million USD into the project of construction of elevators along the Dnipro and nonself-propelled vessels and tugboats. It is worth of great respect especially in our times. In these difficult times “NIBULON” gives work and decent wages to thousands of Ukrainians.” Oleksiy Garkusha wished tempo and insistence of “NIBULON” and OJSC “Wadan Yards Okean” will not fade away but gather paces.

Mayor of Mykolayiv City Volodymyr Chaika thanked to agricultural producers and shipbuilders for additional budget revenues, creation of new working places, and development of the state.

General Director of “NIBULON”, Hero of Ukraine, Oleksiy Vadaturskyy took a word and thanked to President Viktor Yushchenko for his assistance and contribution into bringing to life the investment project of the company. Oleksiy Vadaturskyy also pointed that personal visit of Head of the state at the opening of river terminal in Vitovo village of Cherkasy region was a great honor for him. “Our labour victory is our collective victory,” – said Oleksiy Vadaturskyy. According to his words outstanding achievements of the company would be impossible without its team: “Achievements of our company are a titanic work. “NIBULON” employees can stay at work week after week at this difficult time, solving the most complicated tasks of the company activity. Employees either of the chief office or branches work hard. Our team is talented and highly professional people average age of which is 2 years old.”

Besides, female representatives of “NIBULON” carried on honourable duty of four new vessels’ godmothers. They were Larysa Buryk, Deputy general director on personnel, Lyudmyla Nazarova, Deputy general director on financial safety, Svitlana Shulika, Chief accountant, and Lyudmyla Mekheda, Deputy chief accountant.

Deputy of Chairman of Secretariat of President of Ukraine gave commendations of President of Ukraine to workers of two companies for their considerable contribution into social and economic development of Mykolayiv Region, creation of infrastructure for export potential development of Ukraine. These people were miller of shed ¹ 2 of OJSC “Wadan Yards Okean” P.S. Sagaidak, deputy general director on production of OJSC “Wadan Yards Okean” A.V. Fatyanov, metal cutter of shed ¹ 1 of OJSC “Wadan Yards Okean” A.G. Fedkov. The following people were given clocks of President of Ukraine, among them there are deputy general director of “NIBULON” A.O. Vadaturskyy, head of execution department of “NIBULON” D.V. Vazanov, deputy general director of “NIBULON” A.O. Vasyliev, fitter of shipping shed of OJSC “Wadan Yards Okean” O.F. Dolgov, director of shipping company of “NIBULON” V.A. Kozakevich, director of “NIBULON” transshipment terminal O.M. Lepko, head of shed ¹ 24 of OJSC “Wadan Yards Okean” M.F. Stepanchak, metal hull collector of shed ¹ 11 of OJSC “Wadan Yards Okean” V.O. Strazhnyk, collector of shed ¹ 7 of OJSC “Wadan Yards Okean” S.O. Choporov.

Solemn commitment of certificates for multimedia complexes from President of Ukraine to Mykolayiv schools No. 1, No. 24, No. 51, and No. 57 became a pleasant surprise.

During communication with high guests representatives of mass media were especially interested in state support of shipbuilding. The first Deputy Chairman of Secretariat of President of Ukraine Oleksiy Shlapak mentioned about insistency and great necessity of strengthening of state support in this strategically important field. “”NIBULON” set to realization of a very ambitious project of renewal of navigation on the Dnipro. Today logistics expenses for grains transshipment by auto transport grew substantially. And creation of such a competitive way allows reducing logistics expenses by 100 UAH. I hope other Ukrainian enterprises will join and we shall return glory of Ukraine’s main water-way to the Dnipro.”

“I promised to President that on the 1st  of November the first vessel will be loaded in Vitovo Village in Cherkassy Region,” – said General director of “NIBULON” Oleksiy Vadaturskyy. “This event will mark commencement of navigation of grains transportation by our company. Thus we will be able to transport grains along the Dnipro till the end of November and closing of navigation season.”

It is difficult not to agree with Oleksiy Vadaturskyy taking into consideration high tempo of “NIBULON” work. We are witnesses of a historic event of revival of the Dnipro as the main water-way of Ukraine. Today we witness revival of the Ukrainian fleet due to fruitful work and labour victory of  the company team.
