OREANDA-NEWS. November 05, 2009. Yenakiyevo Steel Plant (YeMZ) operating under umbrella of Metinvest Group has purchased two modern autoclaves for city hospital No.2 within the framework of long-term social partnership between the plant and the hospital.

Autoclaves GK-103-M are designed to sterilize surgical instruments and other objects. Due to new autoclaves the hospital will be able to improve its sanitation and hygienicpractices. The cost of the new medical equipment is UAH 110,000.

Ivan Kolesnikov, the hospital’s chief doctor, noted that the hospital urgently needs the equipment purchased with the help of YeMZ: “Five sterilizing machines available in the hospital today are absolutely obsolete. In addition, three autoclaves have come to the end of their operational life and must be written off. It seemed to be an unlikely situation to purchase the equipment at the expenses of the city budget during the time of recession. Considering our long-term and fruitful cooperation with Yenakiyevo Steel Plant we applied to the plant’s management with the request to purchase the necessary equipment. We were lucky to get a positive reply”.
