OREANDA-NEWS. November 05, 2009. The most significant event in Kazakhtelecom’s JSC activity by development of cooperation with foreign telecoms operators became opening of POP in Frankfurt and Hong Kong, reported the press-centre of Kazakhtelecom.

An active work for upgrading of existing and construction of new joints with international telecoms operators carried out for the reporting period within the project by realization of transit potential of Kazakhtelecom JSC. Particularly, joints with networks ELCAT (Kyrgyzstan) on Kordai area, China Tietong (China) in the region of Alashankou-Dostyk are organized and joints with networks SCS Sovintel and Sinterra CJSC (Russia) on Uralsk-B.Chernigovka area are also widen. Works on organization of new joint with Uzbektelecom AK network in the region of Beineu-Kungrad started. In result of works performed the sales volumes of nonswitched transit for 9 months of 2009 grew in 4 times as compared with analogous period of 2008.

Within the Internet transit services for 9 months of 2009 new connections of Somoncom JV CJSC (Tajikistan) and Visa-2 (Russia) to Kazakhtelecom networks has been organized. Connection level to Internet ports of Russian companies SCS Sovintel and Sinterra has alsp been widen.

Opening of POP in Frankfurt and Hong Kong became the most significant event. Today POP Kazakhtelecom JSC is organized in Moscow, Frankfurt and Hong Kong. Realization of these projects is directed to widening of international services spectrum, provided to Kazakhtelecom JSC clients and improvement of the quality at the expense of POP zone spread.
