OREANDA-NEWS. November 03, 2009. The III Q net profit of Novolipetsky Metalllurgic Plant (RAS) reached 5.551bn rub. which is 4 fold less prior quarter - 22.323bn rub., the company informed.

The drop in the net profit is explained by the cutdown in the participation in other companies by 20.764bn rub. and increase in the profit from sales by 4.984bn rub.

The IH net profit gained 22.462bn rub. to drive the 9-month net profit to 28.013bn rub. in total which is 62.6% less prior year figures - 74.996bn rub.

NLMK is included into the 3-list of largest plants in the ferrous metallurgy sector. The output gains 9mln ton/y of steel. In 2008 the figures declined 6% to 8.514mln ton. The main assets are located in Russia, EC and USA.

The major holder is V.Lisin, chairman, having 83%. The share capital is worth 5993227240 rub. split in the same number of stocks of 1 rub. par.

The 2008-net prfoit (US GAAP) increased 1.4% to USD 2.279bn; revenues being 50% up to USD 11.699bn from USD 7.719bn; EBITDA - 36% to USD 4.538bn from USD 3.336bn.
