Customs Union to Reduce Transport Costs of Kazakhstan Enterprises
OREANDA-NEWS. November 03, 2009. The Customs Union will allow reducing transport costs of the Kazakhstan enterprises. Vice Minister of Industry and Commerce of Kazakhstan, Zhanar Aytzhanova, informed at a briefing.
"The unified economic space for Kazakhstan, first of all, is important in connection with the establishment of equal access to the infrastructure. It is extremely important for us as we are far away from the main commodity markets of our export production and we have no access to the seaports," Z. Aytzhanova said.
"For example, access to internal tariffs of Russia will allow reducing transport costs of the Kazakhstan enterprises. As for the internal tariffs, we speak not only about tariffs for railway transportation, but also pipelines," she explained.
She informed that, as of today, 32 agreements concerning commercial policy have been prepared. The project of the Customs Code is being prepared that will create a legal field, which will significantly simplify business conditions.
