Vysochaishy Downsized Gold Output by 13% in 2009
OREANDA-NEWS. November 03, 2009. Vysochaishy downsized gold output by 13% y-o-y in 9M 2009. Gold producer Vysochaishy which intended to launch an IPO before the crisis, slashed output by 13% y-o-y to 2.7 tons, or 87,200 troy oz, the company said. In January-September 2008, the company extracted 3.09 tons.
It’s noteworthy that in 3Q 2009, precious metal output rose 26% q-o-q to 1.18 tons (38,100 oz). 9M 2009 gold revenue under RAS advanced 19% y-o-y to RUB 2.5 bn and net profit climbed 12% to RUB 995.2 mn, the company said. In 2009, Vysochaishy which taps the Golets Vysochaishy (Irkutsk) and Aldgold (Yakutia) fields intends to produce 140,000 oz of gold and raise this number to 540,000 oz by 2016.
