OREANDA-NEWS. November 03, 2009. OJSC Ilim Group will install a special-purpose software solution in its OAO Ilim Gofra plant in Kommunar (Leningrad Oblast).

The modular software solution, OPM Corrugated and Solid Board System (already installed at more than 50 corrugated board plants in Europe), will be used to optimize production control processes and chain of custody planning. It is expected that optimized utilization of the plant equipment will decrease production costs, reduce the amount of waste, and dramatically improve the product quality control processes. On the part of services, Ilim Gofra's system for shipment of finished products to the customers will also be improved — time of order execution will reduce while accuracy will increase.

OAO Ilim Gofra is part of Business Unit Ilim West. A modern plant launched in 2008 manufactures produces various forms of corrugated board products. According to 9 months results, the mill is on the 2-d place in St. Petersburg and oblast for sales volumes.
