OREANDA-NEWS. November 03, 2009. The trip was held on October 12-21, 2009 within the scope of the project Creation of the International Cooperation System in the Sphere of Youth Policy, Integrating Efforts of Administrative Youth Establishments and Youth Non-Profit Public Organizations for Fulfillment of Common Tasks between the Northwest of Russia, Norway and Finland.

The delegation included employees of bodies for youth affairs, heads of youth non-profit public organizations, members of the Youth Council of the Barents Region. Anna Rybalova, expert of the Karelian Regional Youth Center State Enterprise of the RK, represented Karelia.

The project was initiated by the Committee for cooperation with public organizations and youth affairs of Murmansk area and unites partners from 2 regions of the Northwest of Russia and 2 nordic countries at the financial support of Nordic Council of Ministers.

During the trip its participants have visited northern regions of Norway and Finland: Finnmark, Troms and Lapland and have got acquainted with organization of youth work at regional and municipal levels, as well as with activity of non-profit youth organizations.

The project goal is creation of system of cross-border cooperation of bodies for youth affairs in order to strengthen international cooperation between youth public organizations.
