Ferghana Implemented Industrial Localization Program
OREANDA-NEWS. November 03, 2009. The implementation of the industrial localization program in Ferghana region has allowed to increase the domestic production of high-quality products.
A total of 30 enterprises are included in the localization program in Ferghana region. They produce components for motor oils, bicycles, wheelchairs, car parts for GM Uzbekistan and other goods.
These companies mostly use domestic raw materials, which helps to keep costs low and ensure high quality.
One of such enterprises, Kukonmash, produces more than 30 types of components for the automobile plant in Asaka.
“The localization program envisages that participating companies are freed from income and property tax, which helps us cut costs,” Tatiana Kuptsova, economist at Kukonmash, said.
“We are using the modern technologies to reequip the enterprise and increase the production volumes,” she added.
