OREANDA-NEWS. November 02, 2009. ZAO Empils' paint and varnish sales volume for the first 9 months of 2009 amounted to 53,622 tons. In comparison with the same period of 2008 the company sales increased 4% in physical terms. This being the case, water-dispersion paint and varnish sales increased 44% and industrial coatings sales — 15%. Oreol (+31%) and Rastsvet (+16%) trademark products became the most demanded goods.

Empils is the only Russian manufacturer of paint and varnish which was able to achieve sales growth in the conditions of economic crisis. According to the Federal State Statistics Service data, other companies from the Russian Top-10 have shown decline from 10% to 69%, and general paint and varnish market decline, according to expert analysis, amounted to 30%.

These results became possible due to the competent marketing policy, sales team efforts and restructuring of the brand portfolio. Empils replenished the decorative coatings assortment with Oreol Discount and Rastsvet Dachnaya product lines which became sales hits of the season-2009, brought completely new products to the market — a complex of EMPILS KRONA wood protection products. The customers of the company also got an opportunity to purchase accompanying materials for repair and decoration — foams and sealants, paintable wallpaper and EMPILS wallpaper paste. The industrial coatings price list was supplemented with the road marking enamel.

ZAO Empils (Rostov-on-Don, Russia) cooperates with more than a hundred distribution companies, federal and national sales networks in the entire territory of Russia and countries of Central Asia and Mongolia.

During the autumn and winter period when paint and varnish consumption decreases due to the seasonal factor, Empils will start a new stage of upgrading the production capacities. The program of reconstruction of the basic infrastructure and capacities is calculated to last three years, the planned amount of investments is 8 million Euro.

In the nearest off-season time it is intended to conduct the reconstruction of the Water-Dispersion Paint and Varnish Shop, installation of new lines of automatic proportioning of dry and liquid raw materials and automatic filling systems, and also additional re-equipment and modernization. This set of measures will allow lowering infrastructural costs, ensuring increase in productivity, strengthening production capacity and improving working conditions for personnel of the enterprise.
