OREANDA-NEWS. November 02, 2009. Over the nine months of 2009, Ilim-Garant Charity Fund (Ilim Group's partner in social and charity projects) allocated RUR 28,155,000 to implement various projects in Koryazhma and the Arkhangelsk Oblast. The assistance was rendered by the Fund under the agreement concluded by Ilim Group with the Arkhangelsk Oblast Administration and the Koryazhma Municipal Entity.

Approximately RUR 10 million was earmarked to aid Koryazhma preschools. These funds were used for repair and construction work, as well as for redevelopment of the food processing facilities in accordance with current standards.

RUR 3 million was expended to assist children’s sports programs. Moreover, Ilim-Garant Fund arranged special activities for the city's disabled children, having paid for the lease of premises in Olymp Sports Club and purchased the required exercise equipment. As part of the health improvement program for the city kids, the Fund developed and financed a special Everyone Should Learn To Swim project aimed to teach swimming to all Koryazhma first-graders.

Within the nine months of the current year, RUR 9 million was allocated to implement charity projects in the southern districts of the Arkhangelsk Oblast. The funds were used to support schools, preschools, and hospitals.
