OREANDA-NEWS. November 02, 2009. The 11th International specialized exhibition Wooden House Building/Holzhaus was opened on October 29, 2009 at 12 pm, hall 7, pavilion 2 of the Crocus Expo Exhibition Centre.

The floor for the welcome words was given to: Head of the Department of Forestry and Light Industry, Ministry of Industry and Trade Mikhail Klinov, Director of the Department of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Lavrukhin, Director General of the Association of Wood Housing Alexander Chernyh, Executive Vice President of RADEKK Nikolai Karev, Deputy Head of MVK International Exhibition Company Alexander Kvasnikov.

This autumn the exhibition draws 192 companies. And its total exhibition space exceeds 8, 000 sq. m.

It is pleasant that among the “veteran exhibitors” like Fraid, Luxury Woodkraft, State-House, Russky Zapad, Narhozstroy, LDK Dom, Good Wood, Vyatsky Dom, Bilar, Drevstroydom, there are the show newcomers: Maki TVR, Eurodom, Fundex, Sila, Metal Profile, Finbrus, Aven-M, Laes, Yarwood, etc.

The centerpiece of the Wooden House Building exhibition will be the 14th conference on Wooden House Building and Success Factors in New Economy. The conference is organized by the Association of Wooden House Building and supported by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. The key topic for discussion is implementation of the unitary standard for the wooden house building which is to become the milestone in the industry development.

The panel session on Wood in modern construction will be the platform for topical discussion. The discussion is organized by MVK International Exhibition Company and RADeKK Association.

The business programme will be featuring one more event: the conference on Low-Rise and Cottage Building Using Modern Building and Finishing Materials. The organizer is Centre for science and Technology Komposit.

The exhibition innovation is the architecture competition, presentation of professional and novice architects. The exhibition will include the final stage of the competition on Wooden Projects organized by Geosoft. The official awards ceremony will take place on November 1.
