Investments into Fixed Capital of Moldova Decreased by 42,5%
OREANDA-NEWS. November 02, 2009. In January-September, 2009, the volume of investments into fixed capital of Moldova amounted to 5 billion 555,2 million leis (US500,5 million), having decreased by 42,5% as compared to the same period of 2008.
As "InfoMarket" agency was informed in the National Bureau of Statistics, for 9 months the volume of construction and installation works amounted to 3 billion 136 million leis, decreasing in comparison with the same period of 2008 by 37,8%.
The main sources of financing investment activity in Moldova were own funds of economic entities and population (58% of the total), as well as foreign investment (19%). Investments into fixed assets from the budget amounted to 9,8% of the total. Analysis of the structure of investments by the forms of ownership shows that investment activity in Moldova was mainly registered in the non-state sector of economy, which accounted for 73,3% of the total investment.
