OREANDA-NEWS. November 02, 2009. According to the Ministry of Finance, for 9 months of this year, payment on the basic debt totaled US36.8 million and the repayment of the interests on loans- US 14.5 million, respectively.

All payments scheduled for the period were made. In 2008, Moldova sent for servicing external public debt US 53.9 million.

The basic debt made US 38.7 million and repayment of interests on the foreign loans- US 15.2 million. Earlier the repayment of the basic sum on the foreign loans was provided in the amount of US 52.9 million, including the direct debt - US 52.1 million, and guaranteed debt- US 0.8 million.

Expenditure on servicing of the debt amounts to US 22.1 million, including the direct debt -- US 21.8 million and guaranteed debt - US 0.3 million, respectively.
