OREANDA-NEWS. October 29, 2009. The Ingosstrakh IJSC branch in Volgograd signed an insurance contract for vessels of the Volgograd Ship Yard JSC (VSY JSC). By this contract the Tanker-Chemical-Carrier 351 is insured for the period of its transportation from Volgograd to Saint-Petersburg and further to Tallinn. The sum of insurance is USD 21 million.

The vessel is insured for “Liability for total loss and damage”. The policy covers losses in case of total loss and costs to repair damage of the hull, machinery, traction, equipment; loss caused by missing of the vessel; losses, damages and payments for the vessel’s share in a general average; necessary and reasonable costs to rescue a vessel; necessary and reasonable costs to prevent/reduce losses or to estimate the scope of losses.    

Ingosstrakh and VSY JSC have long-lasting experience of cooperation at the level of head offices. The contract signed now is the first case of cooperation on the regional level.
