OREANDA-NEWS. October 29, 2009. Head of the Republic of Karelia Sergey Katanadov has visited Kostomuksha and got aquainted with implementation of the investment project for increase in power supply reliability of the town.

Kostomuksha, as well as many other localities in Karelia, feels deficiency of electric capacity that constrains development of the town's infrastructure and individual housing construction. To solve this task there has been developed a construction project of new networks and distribution points.

Construction was launched in the second quarter of crisis year of 2009, and total cost of the project makes almost 90 million roubles. It is carried out by Prionezhsky network company which has recently become one of the most active players in the power market of Karelia.

Implementation of the project will allow the town to develop, engage new energy consumers. Head of the Republic has especially noted that the project is implemented in view of advanced ecological requirements.
