OREANDA-NEWS. October 29, 2009. The Government of the Republic of Karelia has held a meeting devoted to development of the museum of Kizhi and adjoining territories.
On October 27th, Director of the “Karelenergo” branch of IDGC of North-West Efim Ashkinezer took part in a meeting devoted to development of the Kizhi Island and adjoining territories. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Construction Sector Valery Momotov, Minister for Culture and Public Relations Galina Brun, and Director of the “Kizhi” Reserve Museum Elvira Averyanova took part in the meeting.
The issue of Kizhi development is under the governmental control since a comprehensive action plan has been developed to get prepared for the anniversary (In 2014, the well-known Preobrazhenskaya Church celebrates its 300th anniversary). In 2008, under the order of Prime Minister of Russia’s Government Vladimir Putin, the amount of RUR 3.5 billion was assigned for the “Kizhi” museum.
The major part of the federal funds – more than RUR 2 billion– will be assigned for motor road and power lines construction on the Kizhi island. According to Valery Momotov, the motor road project from Velikaya Guba to Oyat village will be prepared ahead of schedule this year. According to Director of “Karelenergo” Efim Ashkinezer, the working draft of the project of 35 kV power line will be also ready till the end of this year.
According to the press service of the Government of Republic of Karelia, Prime Minister Pavel Chernov has especially underlined that the issue of development of the Kizhi island and adjoining territories is very important, that is why a rigid control over disbursement of the funds is highly needed there.
“The actions determined to be carried out next year with regard to motor road and energy facilities preparation must be executed,” Pavel Chernov said, “Whenever possible the Republic will help to solve arising problems.”
