OREANDA-NEWS. October 29, 2009. The Commission for check of IDGC of North-West’s preparedness for autumn and winter period 2009/2010 starts its activities in St. Petersburg since October 28th.

Its structure includes 10 members, including representatives of the Ministry for Energy Industry of the Russian Federation, (Russian Federal Agency for Atomic, Technical and Environmental Supervision (Rostehnadzor), System Operator, IDGC Holding, IDGC of North-West. Mikhail Lvov, Chief of the Technical Audit Department of JSC “IDGC Holding” has been appointed to the position of the commission chairman.

The commission plans to visit a department for manufacturing mobile substations.

Following the results of the commission work, a decision on delivery of a preparedness certificate to IDGC of North-West during the forthcoming autumn and winter period will be taken.

A check of readiness of grid organizations for winter is held according to the “Regulations for checkup of preparedness of constituent entities of electric power industry for operation during the autumn and winter period.”
