OREANDA-NEWS. October 29, 2009. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev chaired a meeting of the Commission for Modernisation and Technological Development of Russia`s Economy that examined projects in telecommunications and space exploration sectors.

Roscosmos Head Anatoly Perminov reported to Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on usage of the antennae systems for spacecraft control in outer space, while both were standing close to antennae system TNA-1500 located in subsidiary of the Moscow Aviation Institute Design Bureau in Moscow region.

TNA-1500 was deeply modified in order to meet the requirements of the far space exploration projects implied in the Federal Space Program. Data aquisition process for Phobos-Grunt and Spectr-R was presented in detail. The system is ready to be used also in intrnational space exploration programs.

Roscosmos Head reported to the President that there were only only two systems (antenna diameter is 64m) of this type in Russia. The other one is located in the city of Kalyazin. The systems use digital technology, and the antennae have been recently integrated. The systems meet the modern demands.
