Russian Shareholders Increased Belgazprombank Authorized Capital
OREANDA-NEWS. October 29, 2009. Belgazprombank’s authorized capital was increased by BYR 207,6 bln, the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus concluded the registration of the respective amendments to Belgazprombank’s Charter. As a result, Belgazprombank’s authorized capital grew from BYR 218,6 bln to BYR 426,2 bln., with equity achieving the new height over half a trillion Belarusian roubles, reported the press-centre of Belgazprombank.
The share of Gazprom and Gazprombank in the Bank’s capital increased to 49,02% each, with Beltransgaz and the Republic of Belarus represented by Belarusian Ministry of Energy holding 1,44% and 0,53% respectively.
Independent bank analysts highlight the unprecedented volume of foreign investments into the authorized capital of a Belarusian bank. Despite to current economic challenges Belgazprombank’s Russian shareholders follow the previously taken directions of the Bank’s development.
Currently Belgazprombank is the 3rd among Belarusian banks in terms of authorized capital giving the pas only to state-owned Belagroprombank and Belarusbank.
This significant increase of Belgazprombank’s capital shall, first of all, enhance the Bank’s capacity for lending to large long-term projects, and positively influence the Bank’s relationship with its large customers. Additionally Belgazprombank offers a variety of new products for SMEs, entrepreneurs and private individuals.
