Russian Railways Sells Two Wagon-Repair Depots
OREANDA-NEWS. October 29, 2009. Russian Railways conducted a tender for the sale of three wagon repair depots on October 23, 2009 in accordance with Russian Government decree No. 348-r dated 20 March 2008 and an order of Russian Railways dated March 28, 2008, reported the press-centre of Russian Railways.
The tender was open to all, with participants submitting proposals in open form. For the first time in accordance with the rules of the tender, it was possible to increase or decrease the initial selling price during the bidding.
The Cheremkhovo wagon repair depot in Irkutsk region was sold for 143 million roubles at the starting price of 153 million roubles to Transvagonmash. The wagon part at Khilok belonging to the Chita wagon repair depot in Chita region was sold for 56 million roubles at the starting price of 62 million roubles to SibUgleMetTrans. Bidding for the wagon part of the Morshansk locomotive depot in Tambov region did not take place due to a lack of applications.
