Juice Imports Down 47.3% in Belorussia
OREANDA-NEWS. October 28, 2009. Belarus’ fruit and vegetable juice imports decreased 47.3% on the year in January-August 2009, to 17,696 tonnes worth USD 23.036 million, down 34.7% on the year in monetary terms, the Statistics Ministry told.
Russian juice imports went down 50.3% on the year to 7,990 tonnes, which cost USD 8.447 million, a decrease of 46.5%. Imports from Ukraine decreased 58.9% on the year in January-August 2009 to 3,249 tonnes worth USD 2.984 million, a decline by 50.6%.
The main non-CIS suppliers were Israel with 3,579 tonnes, down 4.9%, worth USD 6.468 million, down 9.1%, and Brazil with 558 tonnes, up 160%, worth USD 1.16 million, up 130%. Imp
