Murmansk Seaport Boundaries Defined
OREANDA-NEWS. October 28, 2009. Murmansk seaport boundaries are defined by the Regulation №1535-r dated 17.10.09 issued by the RF Government. Andrei Lavrischev, Deputy Head of Department of state policy for maritime and river transport of RF Ministry of Transport said, that operating cargo and fishing terminals of the Murmansk port as well as perspective territories in the western coast of Kola Bay including crude oil loading and coal terminals are within the port boundaries.
It is necessary to remind that works on Murmansk transportation joint development will be commenced from 2010 in Murmansk.
As per 2008 results Murmansk sea terminals cargo turnover amounted to 24 mln tons. Murmansk Commercial Seaport OJSC is the largest stevedoring company of the operating port. There is an off-harbour transhipment complex for oil cargo ‘Belokamenka’ (NC Rosneft) in the port water area.
