The head of “Moldovagaz "stressed that in condition of timely payments for the gas deliveries, Moldova will not have any problems in receiving the" blue fuel”. At the same time, he reminded that the current debt of “Moldovagaz” to Gazprom for the Russian natural gas consumed in 2009 is US 65 million. The debt was formed due to the non-payments for the gas by the companies of fuel and energy sector of Moldova.

The total debt of the energy sector companies of Moldova to “Moldovagaz "exceeds 1,7 billion leis (US 150 million). The total debt of Moldova for the Russian natural gas, including the debt of the Transnistrian region, currently exceeds US 2.2 billion. This amount includes current and historical debt, fines and penalties for the late payments.

The head of “Moldovagaz "stressed that, the gas debt of the Moldavian consumers living on the right bank of the Dniester is US 380 million and debts of the Transnistrian consumers reaches US 1 billion 820 million.
