Several reports at the conference were made by representatives of OMK and VSW. Leonid Efron, Research Manager of OMK’s Engineering and
The report describes the CRC equipment’s unique characteristics and technological capability and the mastering of production of rolled products for the manufacture of pipes in small, medium, and large diameters (as exemplified by the production of rolled products for 1,067mmх11mm-pipes designed for the project BPS 2).
On behalf of VSW, reports were presented by Igor Dubinin, Deputy Head of the VSW Directorate for Pipe Technology, and Pipe Technology Manager Nadezhda Peiganovich. Their reports were dedicated to the mastering of production of two-seam pipes, of the strength classes K52 and K56, designed for the BPS 2 project and the development of casing pipes, with enhanced operational characteristics, made of CRC-made metal.
Two more presentations were made on behalf of OMK, by Leonid Efron and Aleksandr Mitin, Chief Specialist for Pipeline Operation of the OMK Department for Pipe and Rolled Product Manufacturing Technology, whose reports were respectively titled “Rolled Products for Modern Large-Diameter Pipes: Requirements, Critical Issues and Controversies,” and “Modern Methods for Evaluation of Operability of Large-Diameter Heavy-Duty X70–X80 Steel Pipes Designed for Main Oil and Gas Pipelines.” The main idea voiced in those presentations was the need to expand the cooperation with customers in terms of development of requirements and criteria for evaluating operability of metal and pipes.
All the reports sparked keen interest among the conference participants.
