OREANDA-NEWS. October 22, 2009. Simultaneously in Almaty and Aktobe the opening of two large regional entities was held: "Rixos Almaty" Hotel and "Меga Aktobe" Shopping and Entertainment Mall which had been constructed with financial support from JSC "Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan". "Аport" - the biggest Shopping and Entertainment Mall in Middle Asia - opened its doors to visitors in mid-September in Almaty.  The total funds which Bank devoted to the construction of 17 business projects completed in 2009 amounted to more than USD 500 mn., reported the press-centre of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan.

The credit line to construct "Rixos Almaty" 5-star Hotel was opened by JSC "Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan" in April 2006.  According to experts’ evaluation, "Rixos Almaty" Hotel rendering full spectrum of high-grade services possesses conference halls and business centers which are the best in the city today and can hold more than 500 persons. The construction of the Shopping and Entertainment Mall in Aktobe was the second project of "MEGA" trade mark financed by Halyk Bank. The first similar multicomplex started its functioning in 2006 in Almaty. "Аport" - the biggest and unique Shopping and Entertainment Mall (total area is  111000 sq.m) – was also constructed on the credit funds of JSC "Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan".

In Almaty oblast with financial support of Halyk Bank there was implemented the project of construction of the poultry farm of JSC Kazros-Broiler with capacity of 24000-29000 tons of poultry meat a year, construction and organization of activity of the second priority of the poultry farm of AltynAi LLP. In East Kazakhstan oblast there was built the poultry meat processing shop of JSC Ust-Kamenogorskaya ptitsefabrika, in Semey city there was put into operation the trading-household complex “Park City”. Launch of these objects contributed to considerable growth of share of Kazakhstani products at the local market.

Owing to credit lines of Halyk Bank in West Kazakhstan oblast there was finished construction of the bulk-oil terminal “Batys Arna” designated for storage of 6300 tons of oil products, and in Akmola oblast – the logistical terminal "Zhasyltas" with total area over 7 thousand sq.m. and the breakstone factory "Grad" with production capacity of 2 million tons. Till the end of 2009 it is planned to finish construction of two more projects: buildings of business centre “Alish and Co.” in Atyrau and retail entertainment complex "al-Farabi" in Shymkent.

Total in accordance with the published audited financial statement as of 1 July 2009 the credit portfolio of JSC Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan directed to financing of corporate sector and small and medium business entities exceeded KZT 1 trillion.
