OREANDA-NEWS. October 21, 2009. This was announced by the Prime Minister Vladimir Filat at the press conference held after the joint meeting of the members of the Government of Moldova and representatives of IMF, World Bank and the donor community of Moldova.

The meeting took place in the tourist complex Chateau Vartelly at the World Bank’s initiative. The Prime Minister noted that during the meeting the funding resources and minimization of the impact of reforms on the most vulnerable categories of population were discussed. Vladimir Filat noted that all provisions of the economic recovery plan will be published later; noting that during the meeting the parties came to consensus on the most important issues.

 "We will also reform the educational system as well as economic activities in the field of taxation”. We all agreed that the priority sectors should be construction and investment in infrastructure that would create jobs. We have certain measures to be undertaken in this regard", - said the Premier. In his turn, the regional director of the World Bank for Moldova, Ukraine and Belarus Martin Raiser noted that the current economic situation in Moldova requires economic growth, stability and sustainable growth based on the private sector development thus not affecting socially vulnerable categories. Martin Raiser assured that development partners of Moldova will support the country to fined funding sources and complete the anti-crisis plan.
