OREANDA-NEWS. October 19, 2009. KAMAZ dealers met in Naberezhnye Chelny for two days to set new tasks for the KAMAZ dealer and service network for the following months and 2010.

The first day of the meeting, the participants got acquainted with those changes and renewals of the KAMAZ manufacturing process and its products which had been made since the last meeting of the company’s representatives from various Russian regions. The dealers saw new exhibited vehicles of KAMAZ and its strategic partner – Daimler - in the R&D Center. The vehicles, including a restyled vehicle (KAMAZ-5460 linehaul artic with ZF-AS Tronic automatic gearbox), were tested. As it was reported earlier, at the beginning of 2010 KAMAZ will start producing all models only of its restyled trucks.

The dealers also visited the KAMAZ mother gathering conveyor, KAMAZ-Diesel and CUMMINS KAMA Russian-American Joint Venture. On that day they also participated in the ceremonial launching of production of the forth in succession JV established by KAMAZ and a foreign company – OOO Federal Mogul Naberezhnye Chelny.

The second working day of the dealers’ meeting, 7 October, was devoted to the conference with the participation of Director General of KAMAZ Inc. Sergey Kogoghin, the company’s leading managers and specialists, reports and demonstrations of new presentations of KAMAZ and Daimler Concern, theme round tables, negotiations in the Trade and Finance Company and Director General’s personal reception of dealers. The reports “Production Policy of KAMAZ Inc. and production of KAMAZ restyled vehicles”, “The truck market review, the program for promotion of KAMAZ restyled vehicles”, “After-sales and backup services, the participation of dealers and service centers in the service program for vehicles of the RF Ministry of Defence” were brought to the guests’ attention. The results of sales of vehicles and spare parts by KAMAZ Inc. and the dealer network during 9 months of 2009 were summed up and tasks were set for the fourth quarter of 2009 and for 2010.
