OREANDA-NEWS. October 16, 2009. Guntis Tirmanis, Bord Member of JSC Latvijas kugnieciba (Latvian Shipping Company-LASCO) has resigned from his position as of October 6, 2009. With this the Management Board of the company will be comprised of four persons. President of JSC Latvijas kugnieciba Imants Sarmulis will continue as the Chairman of the Management Board, Andris Linuzs,  First Vice-president of JSC Latvijas kugnieciba, Raivis Veckagans, Vice-president of JSC Latvijas kugnieciba, and Ilva Purena, Bord Member of JSC Ventspils nafta and Legal director.

Guntis Tirmanis has motivated his decision to resign by his 65th anniversary and his desire to reduce his business activities. Guntis Tirmanis has commenced to work in 1967 and has worked as the First mate and Captain until 1989.
