The meeting of the "United Russia" organizing committee, focused on the preparations for the XI party convention, was conducted at "Lenexpo" premises.

It  was decided to have the convention executed on November 21, 2009 in "Lenexpo" exhibition complex.

The meeting was run by Ruslan Furs, the head of the organizing department and deputy director of the central executive committee of Alexander Vakhmistrov, St. Petersburg Vice-Governor and the head of Governor’s Administration office, St. Petersburg committees’ chairmen and other members of the organizing committee

The meeting was also attended by Vadim Tulpanov, the secretary of the "United Russia" political council and Chairman of St. Petersburg Legislative Assembly, Alexander Vakhmistrov, St. Petersburg Vice-Governor and the head of Governor's Administration office, St. Petersburg committees' chairmen and other members of the organizing committee.

- We have deliberately chosen "Lenexpo" complex as the place for the Party's next convention. This complex hosts the largest international forums, and our event can also be compared to them in size and significance,- says Alexander Vakhmistrov.

- "United Russia" is thankful to the City Governor for the invitation to execute the Party convention here in St. Petersburg, - says Ruslan Furs.

The meeting participants had a detailed discussion regarding the plan of the forthcoming event.

The receiving party representatives guarantee that they are ready to meet guests and organize the convention at the highest level. They have already had enough experience to prepared and execute various high-ranking events.
