OREANDA-NEWS. October 16, 2009. Belarus’ internal debt decreased 1.2% on the month in August to 8.633 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br) as of September 1, 2009, an official with Belarus’ Finance Ministry told.

Internal debt shrank 6.5% in January-August in real terms (adjusted for inflation).

Internal debt increased by 48 billion rubles in January-August 2009, or 0.06% of GDP, the official said.

Of the total internal state debt, the long-term debt of the government accounts for 56.98%, short-term debt for 0% and the debt secured by the government for 43.02%.
