OREANDA-NEWS. October 16, 2009. The amount of transactions of the international money transfer system UNIStream reached RUR34.2 billion the third quarter of 2008. While it is an 8.3- percent decrease compared with the same period of 2008, the number of transactions grew by 3 percent to 1.65 million, reported the press-centre of UNIStream.

The third quarter amount is 12.5-percent higher than one in April-June of the current year. The number of clients soared by 11.6 percent in the third quarter.

In Jan-Sep, the amount of transactions reached RUR85.3 billion while the amount of transactions exceeded 4.21 million.

Considering a complicated economic situation, the UNIStream positively views at the results reached.

The growth during a quarter period is due to not only seasonal factors but also to the first signs of stabilization in the market, the experts believe. The successful realization of the strategy to step up the market share and increase the client portfolio played also an important role in reaching the results.

“UNIStream entered the 2008, featuring high growth rates and leadership positions in the market. Having mobilized the resources, we have managed not to decrease our development rates. During the past 9 months we successfully completed important projects. I would especially mention rapid development of own networks in Russia, Cyprus and UK. We launched our own networks in Greece and Germany. System features high tempo in transformation into a solid international player,” CEO for UNIStream Souren Hayriyan said.
