OREANDA-NEWS. October 15, 2009. DCC has completed the planned test of its remote Back-up Center the involvement of DCC Participants. The test confirmed that Depository Clearing Company (DCC) guarantees successful settlement even under force majeure.

RTS Settlement Chamber and DCC Participants were involved in the test which included the check of the following arrangements: generation of operational reports, exchange of electronic messages between DCC, its Participants and RTS Settlement Chamber, FOP and DVP settlement.

DCC's Back-up Center, established in 2007, is aimed to ensure business continuity in case the main computer center cannot be use for some reason. The Back-Up Center ensures hardware data replication between the primary and the reserve data storage systems, which makes it possible to switch operations to the computers at the Back-Up Center without waiting for recovery of data from tapes.
The Back-Up Center ensures security of back-up copies of electronic documents and their availability only to certified users. The Back-Up Center has fiber-optic links with the primary office, which allows creation of back-up copies of documents on a real-time basis.
