OREANDA-NEWS. October 15, 2009. Vladivostok Air has taken active part in the world tourist fair JATA-2009 which was held in Tokyo (Japan).

Roman Grigoriev, the top manager of General airline agency in Japan headed a delegation of Vladivostok Air OJSC at the fair. At the working meeting Russian participants and visitors discussed questions of the further development of tourist exchange between Russia and Japan with representatives of the Japanese authorities and leading travel agencies. Also Vladivostok Air appeared with presentation of its activity at the Japanese air market.

Besides, the airline has prepared the pictorial stand in a corporate style special for this fair which enjoyed great popularity among visitors. Agency employees in company uniform suggested to fair visitors to learn the flight schedule, to acquaint with advertising booklets and answered questions of visitors, representatives of the tourist industry and the press on Japanese / English / Russian languages.

The Russian Federation was presented by the general Russian stand of Association "World without borders" which placed expositions of 18 Russian companies and organizations from Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Irkutsk and Moscow.

Only for 3 days 110 784 persons have visited the fair that is more than in 2008, among them 39 544 persons were representatives of the tourist’s industry, journalists and 71 240 were visitors. 922 stands from 699 companies and organizations from 151 countries of the world were presented on it.

The general agency of Vladivostok Air OJSC in Japan is the company Vladivostok Air Service, which at the moment counts 8 employees who are both Russian and Japanese citizens. The company has offices in Tokyo, Niigata, Toyama. The air agency has successfully headed by Valentine Lahdis already 10 years.

One of the business priorities of the air agency is the development program of the charter transportation of the Japanese tourists to the Far East. Today it is being organized flights from Okayamo, Izumo, Matsumoto, Kansai, and Narita to the cities of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsks, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Khabarovsk and Vladivostok.

Vladivostok Air charter program between Japan and the Far East of Russia is in excessive demand among Japanese, annually increasing the international tourist stream. So, in comparison with the last year, the quantity of charter flights has increased twice.

Vladivostok Air is not satisfied with what has already been achieved and work over variants of cooperation for strengthening of good neighborhood relations and tourist stream increase not only with Japan, but also with other countries of Asian-Pacific region.
