OREANDA-NEWS. October 14, 2009. Sergey Magdych, Manager of Zaporozhye Branch of FUIB (First Ukrainian International Bank) has become the winner of the People’s Choice Zaporizhzhia-2009 competition in the Best Financier of the Year nomination.

The awarding of winners and nominees of the programme took place on October 09 in the premises of Magara Theatre in Zaporozhye.

‘For me, as the FUIB Branch Manager, it was a great honour to represent the Bank in the competition. Winning in the competition is even more flattering, as it means recognition of the FUIB achievements and my own contribution thereto among the residents of Zaporozhye,’ Sergey Magdych comments.

Zaporozhye Branch of FUIB supervises operation of 6 Bank sub-branches located in Zaporozhye, as well as sub-branches in Melitopol and Energodar.

More than 50 thousand individual and corporate clients entrusted Zaporozhye Branch of FUIB with their funds management. Among the Branch large corporate clients are the leading enterprises of the region, representing all economy sectors: Motor Sich, Zaporozhskiy Transformatornyi Zavod, Zaporozhskiy Avtomobilestroitelnyi Zavod, Dneproenergo, ‘Alexandr’ Company, DneproSpetsStal, Vodokanal Utility Enterprise, etc.

Since the 2009-beginning, Zaporozhye Branch of FUIB has ranked the second in terms of its corporate loan portfolio, its market share in the region amounting to 9%; its share on the retail business market being about 8%.

Sergey Magdych has held the office of Manager of Zaporozhye Branch of FUIB since 2006. Mr. Magdych has a Degree in Finance (Zaporozhye National Technical University) and has worked in the banking sector for 7 years.

Five best representatives of the banks, operating in the region, were nominated within the framework of the competition. The voting was carried out among the residents of Zaporozhye, who made telephone calls to the hotline of the competition.
