New Postal Department Opened in Ust-Luga
OREANDA-NEWS. October 14, 2009. The new postal department N 188472 was officially opened in Ust-Luga rural settlement of Leningrad region on 25 September.
The new postal department will allow higher quality services for residents of Kingisepp district and a wider range of services. The department is equipped with modern work places, information stands, a point of collective access to Internet, subscription catalogues and many other things.
The opening of the postal department is an important event from the point of view of the future infrastructure as well. It is known that when the port reaches its full capacity in 2015 and enterprises in the portside zone start working, construction of a new town of port workers will start. It will be situated in the area of Ust-Luga settlement — Krakolie village. In this connection the opening of the new post office becomes especially significant as such infrastructure objects are necessary for productive life of people in any town.
After the ceremony of opening of the postal department the participants of the event visited "Yug-2" multipurpose transshipping complex and saw its operation. At the time there were over a thousand of new foreign cars on the berth of the terminal.
The ceremony of opening of the postal department was attended by the Head of the Directorate of Federal Postal Service of Saint Petersburg and Leningrad region of the branch of FSUE "Russian Post" Yu. M. Agafonov, an advisor to the head of the Directorate of Federal Postal Service of Saint Petersburg and Leningrad region of the branch of FSUE "Russian Post" V. E. Sambur, chief of Kingisepp post office O. V. Petrov, the chairman of the committee for telecommunications and informatization of the Government of Leningrad region M. M. Mikhailichenko, Head of the Administration of "Kingisepp municipal district" municipal entity E. G. Antonova, Head of the Administration of "Ust-Luga rural settlement" municipal entity V. A. Zyabkin, manager fof the project of regional relations of "Ust-Luga Company" OJSC N. V. Ievlev and employees of Kingisepp post office.
