OREANDA-NEWS. October 13, 2009. Russian car-maker AvtoVaz is set to launch production of Renault and Nissan cars in 2012, Igor Komarov, the president for the Russian company said.

He also noted that Renault-Nissan Alliance confirmed the intention to support the technical re-equipment measures at AvtoVaz's production facilities.

The sides agreed upon terms and shares in the projects aimed at financing the construction of the new assembly line, which is to create new jobs.
