OREANDA-NEWS. October 12, 2009. According to the information from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation on October 25, 2009 "Lenexpo" exhibition complex in St. Petersburg will host the Third Russian -Finnish Forest Summit.

The summit will be attended by Viktor Zubkov, the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Viktor Khristenko, the Minister of Industry and Trade, and Deputy Ministers, Andrey Dementyev and Stanislav Naumov. The representatives of business, public organizations and educational institutions of the Russian Federation are also invited to participate in the event.

The summit participants will discuss the most important and principal issues of the Russian wood-processing complex and forest industry. There will be a number of round-table discussions on the following topics: "Investments and Innovations for the Wood-processing Complex", "the Development of Scientific and Personnel Potential in the Forest Industry", "Forest Industry and Resources".
