OREANDA-NEWS. October 12, 2009. ProCredit Bank S.A. received the first tranche of the loan granted by the International Finance Corporation (IFC). The total loan amount counts to USD 7 million and it is given for maturity of 5 years.

ProCredit Bank will use respective funds for financing the small and medium sized businesses, as we are convinced that these businesses create the largest number of jobs and make a vital contribution to the economies in which they operate.

General Manager of CB ProCredit Bank, Dr. Ilinca Rosetti, stated: “We are glad that the International Finance Corporation has granted us this credit. This is another evidence that we are a stable and trustworthy bank with a solid shareholder structure. This loan will help us to continue our sustainable growth even during these pretty difficult times. All our shareholders and creditors fully support the level of commitment and responsible attitude which the bank has towards all its clients in Moldova, offering them simple and accessible banking services.”

IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, creates opportunity for people to escape poverty and improve their lives: “We foster sustainable economic growth in developing countries by supporting private sector development, mobilizing private capital, and providing advisory and risk mitigation services to businesses and governments. Our new investments totalled USD 16.2 billion in fiscal 2008, a 34 percent increase over the previous year”.
