Air Astana Launches New Non-Stop Flight to Kuala Lumpur
OREANDA-NEWS On 09 October was announced, that on 31st of October, Air Astana launches a new non-stop flight to Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia, which will operate on Saturdays on a comfortable Boeing 767. Thus, the flagship of Kazakh aviation is expanding its presence in the Asia-Pacific region, by adding to already existing flights from Almaty to Bangkok, Beijing, Seoul and Astana to Urumqi.
"Thanks to the strengthening of trade-economic, cultural and tourism ties between Kazakhstan and Malaysia, there is a need to launch direct flight between the capital city of Malaysia and the business, economic and cultural center of Kazakhstan, Almaty. Malaysia is a popular tourist destination, which attracts every year thousands of Kazakh by its white beaches sand, amazingly beautiful scenery, low prices, high quality service and friendliness of local residents. Also every year a number of Kazakh students studying in Malaysian universities is increasing, and people from Central Asia, residing, or temporarily employed at various companies in Malaysia. Customers of the national carrier will be able to save time and money, making comfortable and safe flights with modern aircraft of our airline”, comments Peter Foster, the President of Air Astana.
Also, Air Astana international customers will be offered convenient connections to popular tourist destinations to South-East Asia, and on flights to Australia.
The customers are offered special rewards by Nomad Club program. Points for committed flights from October 31 to November 30 will be doubled, bringing the club members additional privileges and free ticket.
Two-way ticket fares start from 95 000 tenge for Economy class flights and from 266 300 tenge in Business class. Airport taxes and other taxes are paid in addition. For added flexibility, the published fare structure to Kuala Lumpur permits a combination with the existing three times a week Almaty to Bangkok service, meaning that passengers will not be tied to a seven or fourteen-day trip.
