ROSNO Completes Act of Obligations to Tourist Hurt by Hurricane
OREANDA-NEWS. October 09, 2009. IC ROSNO has completed performance of obligations related to medical and medico-transportation assistance and return to Russia of the female tourist injured by the recent hurricane in Alanya, Turkey. The aggregate volume of expenses covered by ROSNO under this insured accident amounted to the full insurance policy amount — 30,000 US dollars, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.
On 12 September, in Alanya (Turkey), during the hurricane, an advertising board fell on the Russian tourist. The representative office of ROSNO’ assistance company in Turkey was contacted by the victim’ friend.
The seriously injured tourist was transported to the Hayat Hospital in Alanya and placed into intensive care. The same day, on 12 September, an emergency internal surgery was performed, and on 13 September, an orthopedic alignment of the victim’ hand was carried out.
On 03 October, the victim accompanied with medical escort returned to Yekaterinburg, where she was transported to the traumatology clinic.
The Russian tourist had been insured with ROSNO under the insurance contract covering medical and medical transportation expenses for the duration of foreign travel. The contractual insurance amount was 30,000 US dollars. ROSNO has reimbursed 24,275 US dollars worth of expenses related to medical aid to the victim and 5,572 US dollars worth of expenses related to medical transportation services (transportation to the place of permanent residence with medical escort). The Turkish clinic and the organization that has carried out medical evacuation have no financial claims. All costs were settled and paid by ROSNO within the insurance amount.
